Mac Meal Planner is an unofficial, student-built tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to McMaster University or McMaster Hospitality Services. This page explains, plainly, what it does with your information.

What it stores

Your planner setup: residence, food budget, meal plan, term dates, dietary preferences, your class schedule, your venue picks, and which days you mark as "home".
If you create an account: your email address and a securely hashed version of your password (the password itself is never stored).

Where it's stored

On Cloudflare (a D1 database and a KV store), which runs on servers around the world. Nothing is stored on any McMaster system.

How your data is protected

By default there is no login. Your data is tied to the private link in your address bar (the ?u= part). Anyone who has that exact link can view and edit your planner — so don't share it, and be careful on shared or public computers.

Creating an account locks your planner to your login: after that, the link alone stops working and only someone signed in as you can open it.

What it does not do

No advertising, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no third-party trackers.
Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with anyone.
The only cookie is an optional login-session cookie, set only if you create an account or log in.
Your class schedule and dietary preferences are used only to show you relevant meal options in your own browser.

Deleting your data

Open Settings → Delete everything and confirm. This immediately and permanently removes your planner (and your account, if you have one) from the server. You can also request deletion by contacting the developer at the address below.
